As a CBRE Energy Automation Analyst you will drive the implementation of data related programs and have oversight of the automation / controls strategy of the real-estate portfolio to help measure and improve energy performance of a building's MEP systems across the real-estate portfolio in EMEA.


This job is a part of the Energy and Sustainability functional area which focuses on the development and implementation of environmental and social sustainability programs.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the IoT teams on current infrastructure / data projects

  • Provide expertise on conclusions and priorities on systems architecture

  • Understanding of energy and water submeters and how to integrate meters into building management systems (BMS)

  • Understanding of data architecture from a meter to the Cloud (e.g. protocols, such as BACnet and Modbus)

  • Streamline data into a single platform

  • Knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and common energy and water conservation measures

  • Ability to analyze energy and water data to draw conclusions and drive operational improvements with various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems

  • Ability to take large quantities of data and convey complex information in concise reports for leadership

  • Confirm the quality and integrity of new and existing data sources. Communicate insights to internal partners.

  • Partner with facility managers and other relevant stakeholders to deliver energy efficiency opportunities

  • Able to analyze and validate suggested improvements to improve energy efficiency across building's MEP systems automation & controls considering factors such as cost-effectiveness, technical feasibility, and integration with operations

  • Review data and interpretation of BMS commissioning reports to identify opportunities for new programs and improvements in current programs.

  • Track energy efficiency indicators of individual MEP systems, such as energy usage, instant power use, on/off cycles, schedules, etc.

  • Investigate and triage anomalies and provide direction and resolution to remedy undesirable

building conditions
  • Drive data improvement plans and support development and implementation of M&V plans

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values

  • Impact the quality of own work.

  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadline

  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding


Desired Candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (BA/BS) from four-year College or university in Engineering, Data Science, Data Management, Energy Management or similar. Minimum of three years of related experience and/or training. Preference for Master's in Environmental Science, Sustainability or related discipline.

  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.

  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.

  • Organizational and Program Management skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
