English Tutor

Location: Geek School Tutoring, 60 Beckenham Road, Beckenham BR3 4LS

Working Hours: Weekdays (Mondays and Wednesdays), 5-7pm and Saturdays, 9am-3.30 pm

Geek School Tutoring is an expert provider of quality educational support services. We are seeking dynamic and motivated English and maths tutors to join our team at the Beckenham Centre.

Role Description:

As a tutor, your primary responsibility will be delivering high-quality classes for primary and secondary school students. You will be providing tailored lessons to suit students' individual needs. You will be responsible for improving their literacy skills and facilitating their success up to GCSE level. Training will be provided, so having previous teaching experience is not important.

Key Requirements:

• A strong humanities degree, preferably in English or a maths or maths-heavy degree (depending on the role applied for))
• Excellent subject knowledge in English or maths (depending on the role applied for)
• Passion for teaching English to young students
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to plan, organise and lead lessons
• Good interpersonal skills and an approachable personality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
