Job Title: DDaT Programme Manager

Staffordshire Police are seeking a DDaT Programme Manager to join their team as they embark on significant expansion and investment into their DDaT function.

On paper it could look like a sideways move. In reality, it’s anything but! As Programme Manager you will take responsibility for delivering both local and nationally critical digital programmes calling on your all-round people skills and experience to successfully deliver.

You will seize your new responsibilities with confidence. When you’re doing it in a completely new environment, there are other challenges, like winning people’s confidence, understanding the company culture but you soon realise everyone at Staffordshire is with you and it’s your chance to shine!

Responsibilities:

You will act to deliver large or complex DDaT Programmes, including sustainment or adaptive changes managing dependencies, potentially feeding into larger programmes and portfolios. Acting as the initial escalation point for the programme you will work to remove blockers, manage risks, commercials, budgets and resources whilst liaising with complex stakeholder groups including the coordination 3rd Parties (Consultancy/Contractors) to balance priorities.

Not only will this role Deputise for or support the DDaT Manager when required but you will also provide coaching and mentoring to colleagues within Programme and Project Management on delivery approaches with a view to developing a benefit-driven, task-focused delivery proposition.

Requirements:

You can confidently demonstrate significant experience of programme management best practices and have experience in overseeing multiple smaller changes and tasks delivered concurrently.

Educated to degree level (Level 6) or equivalent with strong technical knowledge, experience in technical programme delivery and in-depth understanding of Agile and other methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2).

What marks you out however is your ability to think strategically with proficiency in coaching and mentoring whilst effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal are a given.
