Highbridge Resourcing are acting on behalf of a company that are expanding their services within the children's sector and are looking for a Registered Manager to support with setting up a brand new children's home that is registered to support 2 children.

The new home is based in Harborne, Birmingham, and the Registered Manager will work closely with the Director in setting up and establishing the home, recruiting a staff team and managing the service.

What skills are are we looking for?

  • The RM must have at least two years of managing in residential child care within the last five years.
  • The RM must have a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
  • The RM must have strong management and leadership skills, and be able to create strong relationships with children and staff. They should also be able to respond to emergency admissions quickly.
  • The RM must have an enhanced level DBS certificate with barring information.
  • The manager is responsible for demonstrating that they have the skills and experience to manage the children's home. This includes explaining how they will manage admissions, set up deputising arrangements, and use monitoring systems.
