Certification Engineer (Pressure/Mechanical)

HPi Verification Services Ltd is an accredited Inspection & Certification Body recognised by the UK Government, and our sister company in Ireland, is accredited and recognised by Irish Government and EU Commission, for issuing certificates related to Pressure Equipment Regulations/Directive.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Certification Engineer to join our team assessing and certifying pressure equipment, nominally based at HPi Verification Services Ltd in Wallingford, but remote work will be considered. The Certification Engineer will be required to carry out inspections, audits and plan approvals. They will also be reviewing reports submitted by our partners around the world. The role will require some representation at committees of various kinds. HPiVS has clients and partners all around the world and so global travel will be required.

Essential Qualifications

• Further education in an Engineering discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of Engineering work experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to documented procedure
• Highly computer literate

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of pressure equipment regulations/directive and related standards
• Work experience with, or on the receiving end of, a product certification body
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
