Senior Estimator

Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor that is working collaboratively with a private client on various infrastructure projects as part of a large framework in the Southwest. On this framework their projects are located in Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire & Devon. Individual projects can be worth up to 100m with a scope of works that includes earthworks, drainage, otter rehabilitation, culverts and rivers etc.

As a Senior Estimator you will report directly to the Estimating Director and will contributes to the whole departments targets. In your role, your duties will include (but not limited to):

• Registration, control and administration of tender documentation
  
  
• Completing take offs from drawings
  
  
• Compiling a tenderbook for internal reviews and settlement
  
  
• Preparing and managing of tenders from initial receipt through to delivery
  
  
• Liaising with supply chain teams in relation to supplier and subcontractor enquiries
  
  
• Preparing tender submission documents and estimating reports
  
  
• Assisting in proposal and contract management functions

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Solid understanding of first principles

Experience tendering on civil engineering projects

Previously worked as an Estimator or a Senior Estimator for a main contractor

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
