Mechanical Fitter

Major Recruitment are searching for Mechanical Fitters for our client based near Oldham. These vacancies are full-time and permanent for the right candidates.

Duties include:

• Assemble Pump and Mixer equipment
• Fitting components to engineering drawings and technical specifications, making sure all components are fit for purpose
• Conduct production tests
• Operating machines and using hand/ power tools to secure parts
• Recording work for tracking purposes

Hours of work and pay rate:

• Monday to Friday on a 2-shift rotation, 36 hours per week
• Monday to Thursday - 6am till 2pm/ 2pm till 10pm
• Friday - 6am till 12pm/ 12pm till 6pm
• 36,188.57 per annum

Successful candidates must have:

• Time Served Apprenticeship within a Mechanical Engineering discipline, equivalent to City and Guilds Level 3/ NVQ Level 3
• Mechanical Fitting experience, specifically in machinery building, valves and compressors
• Good Computer literacy
