Oracle Developer – New Exciting Opportunity!
Are you an experienced Oracle Developer with strong PL/SQL looking for your next challenge? We’re working with a market-leading company in the utilities sector that is driving forward innovation and development across both the Electricity and Gas industries.
In this role, you will be involved in both maintaining and enhancing existing PL/SQL systems and playing a crucial role in developing a new Market-wide Settlement system.
Responsibilities for the Oracle Developer:
- Develop and maintain high-quality Oracle PL/SQL code for Electricity Market Settlement Systems.
- Contribute to the design and development of the company’s Advanced Data Service (ADS) system, part of the wider MHHS initiative.
- Utilize logical thinking and strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex business challenges.
- Provide data analysis and technical support for the Operations team, utilizing Oracle backend systems.
- Write clear and comprehensive documentation, including technical manuals and specifications.
- Participate in regular training to keep your skills sharp and relevant in a fast-evolving industry.
Key skills for the Oracle Developer:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development or relevant professional qualifications.
- Strong expertise in database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server (MSSQL), including schema design and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering efficient, high-quality solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
