CAD Technican

Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and motivated M&E CAD Technician to join our dynamic team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) drawings using CAD software, supporting our engineering projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:

Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D M&E drawings using CAD software.

Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.

Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.

Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports.

Conduct site visits to gather information and verify drawings.

Maintain and update CAD libraries and project files.

Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an M&E CAD Technician or similar role.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

Strong understanding of M&E systems and building services.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) software.

Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

Previous experience in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
