Information Security Engineer-£55,000-£60,000-2-3 days a week onsite
Job Purpose
Peaple talent has partnered with a leading organisation to support IT security efforts across the organization, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and improving our security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT Operations and service providers on security-related tasks.
- Implement and manage the information management system for CAA compliance.
- Support the Information Security Manager in executing the Cyber Security Strategy.
- Assist with IT projects, ensuring security requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and processes.
- Conduct internal security audits and manage remediation efforts.
- Provide regular security updates and reports to the leadership team.
- Conduct risk assessments, addressing vulnerabilities as needed.
- Stay updaed on emerging cyber threats and advise on protective measures.
Requirements
- Education: Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Expertise in information security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO27001).
- Skills: Strong communication, risk management, and project management skills.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications are a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IT security technologies (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft).
Desirable Skills
- Certifications: IT Security certifications like CISSP, CISM, or PCIP.
- Project Management: Experience with project management methods like Prince2 or Agile, including financial and resource management.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with modern security tools, including SIEM products and firewalls.
