A specialist education provider in Yate seeks to appoint an English Teacher. The desired Teacher will be responsible for teaching English young people with additional needs, alongside some enrichment and life skills based curricula.
The successful Teacher will have a passion for working in SEND, alongside desirable experience of teaching English previously. Teachers at this setting contribute to school community activities and enrichment programmes. This is a full time teaching role starting in January 2025, with permanent contracts being offered following a qualifying period.
About the schoolThe school is a specialist SEND and SEMH provider located in Burnley (BB11) that work with secondary aged students from 11-16 years old. The school provides an individualised curriculum for students teaching GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications for students with barriers to learning and from underprivileged backgrounds, with SEND needs including moderate Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia.
The school provides a strong support staff team, meaning you will be working with at least one other member of staff within the classroom. Class sizes are no bigger than 8 students per group.

Salary£30,000 to £41,333 per year
