Job Requirements/Description

Knowledge and understanding.

  • An understanding of building surveying principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Awareness of current building regulations, health and safety standards, and planning legislation.
  • Awareness of building pathology, construction technology, and common construction materials.
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and the environmental

impact on building structures.

  • Understanding of the route to professional qualifications eg. RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).

Must Have

  • Drivers licence.
  • Able to live and work in the UK.
  • Relevant degree or similar.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address building defects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear, concise, and accurate reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Competence in using surveying tools and software, including AutoCAD and BIM.
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
