Electrician Improver

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Improver to join our team for a large-scale renovation and conversion project in an old commercial building spanning four floors. The ideal candidate should have some experience in electrical work, particularly in commercial settings, and be eager to develop their skills further. Experience with containment work is highly beneficial. Candidates should possess CSCS or ECS card. This long-term project offers significant opportunities for career advancement in the electrical trade.

Electrical Improver Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting Electrical Installations: Assist qualified Electricians in performing electrical installations, including running cables, fitting sockets, switches, and installing lighting systems.
• Containment Work: Help install and maintain electrical containment systems such as cable trays, trunking, and conduit, ensuring that electrical cabling is safely and efficiently managed throughout the building.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant standards and best practices.
• Testing and Inspection: Assist in the testing and inspection of electrical systems and equipment under the supervision of a qualified Electrician to ensure correct installation and operation.
• Tool and Material Management: Manage tools and materials, ensuring they are in good condition and readily available for use.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with qualified Electricians and other trades on site, ensuring the project progresses smoothly and efficiently.

Electrical Improver Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience: Previous experience in electrical work, particularly in commercial settings, is required.
• Containment Work: Some experience with installing and managing electrical containment systems is preferred.
• CSCS / ECS Card
• Willingness to Learn: Strong desire to develop your skills and advance in the electrical trade.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Basic ability to troubleshoot and assist in resolving electrical issues under supervision.
