Job Overview
We are looking for a Procurement & Contracts Manager to manage procurement processes, working across multiple categories of spend, ensuring contracts are in place with third-party suppliers. This role requires in-depth analysis of data and market trends to recommend effective procurement strategies, ensure compliance with UK procurement law, and provide professional procurement advice to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities:
- Create procurement strategies aligned with regulations and laws.
- Identify cost-saving and service improvement opportunities.
- Manage procurement across various spend categories, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency.
- Lead supplier debriefs and organize market updates for stakeholders.
- Negotiate contract terms with legal and technical teams.
- Analyze data to support procurement strategies and manage risks.
- Ensure compliance with procurement laws and best practices.
- Contribute to policy development and provide training.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- MCIPS qualified or working towards completion.
- Strong knowledge of UK procurement laws and processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis.
- Experience managing procurement across various categories.
- Knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Data Protection legislation.
