Manufacturing Design Engineer

Design Engineer required. Our client is a well-established manufacturer of metal fabricated products based in central Birmingham, who due to ongoing success are seeking an enthusiastic Design Engineer to join their team, and produce manufacturing drawings with the use of AutoCAD.

• Using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to create manufacturing drawings for the workshop
• Liaising with the manufacturing team to ensure drawings are understood and interpreted correctly
• Producing 2D fabrication / weldments drawings
• Working with customers to understand project and design requirements
• Logging CAD files on to the system

• Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor
• Based in a commutable distance of Central Birmingham
• Previous experience in a Design Engineering role
• Understanding of metal fabrication design is desirable
• Good communication skills
• IT literate

• Starting salary 28,000 - 35,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour working week. Flexible start & finish times.
• 31 days holiday including bank holidays
• Pension
