Hays is working with a local government organisation, looking for a temporary Housing Business Support Assistant to join the team.
Your new role
As a Business support Assistant, you will provide proactive and high-quality administrative support across all teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to internal and external communications within set deadlines.
- Acting as the first point of contact for general and tenant enquiries.
- Creating and updating housing register applications.
- Taking telephone payments for various charges.
- Raising purchase orders and processing payment requests.
- Processing data related to housing management functions.
- Scanning, indexing, and distributing housing-related documents.
- Handling post and inbox duties.
- Monitoring and ordering stationery and cleaning supplies for Supported Housing stock.
What you'll need to succeed - Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for dealing with both internal and external customers,
- Use your initiative to handle enquiries and solve problems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in administrative support and data processing.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
What you'll get in return - 3-month assignment with room for extension
- Hourly pay rate of £12.18.
- 30 hours per week over 4 days.
- Hybrid working model after initial office-based training (1-2 days in the office).
