Our client is a leader in the manufacture and global supplier of high quality aqueous dispersions and emulsions. They are typically used in combination with water based polyurethane dispersions in the manufacture of coatings, adhesives, rubbers, polymers and packaging. They are seeking a Chemist to join their laboratory in the North East.

Main Responsibilities
• Assists in development of new products.
• Plans own experiments and project work.
• Scales up own formulations.
• Supervises production batches when required.
• Screens new raw materials from suppliers and tests them in existing formulations.
• Liaises closely with sales and production teams to update and be updated with any formulation changes or requirements.
• Produces weekly reports on current projects and raw material testing.
• Responsible for the ordering of lab consumables.
• Quality control of in production batches when required.

In return our client is offering salary of £28-30k. 22 days (rises 1day per year up to maximum of 25 days) + bank holidays. Pension: 3% Employer: 5% Employee.
