Role: Senior Project Manager-Value Stream
Location: London, UK (2Days Onsite)
Duration: 6months Contract Inside IR35
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of the adoption and implementation of the Value Stream Framework across Global Project Services (GPS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent governance capabilities, and a proven track record in stakeholder management. This role requires someone who can work independently yet collaborate effectively with a broader group. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from administrative tasks to executive-level discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End Project Management:
- Lead the adoption and implementation of the Value Stream Framework across GPS from initiation to closure.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure project milestones and objectives are met within scope, time, and budget.
2. Governance and Documentation:
- Establish and enforce governance structures to ensure project alignment with organizational objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including meeting minutes, action logs, and process documentation.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
3. Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders across multiple levels, from team members to executive leadership.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Prepare and present project status reports and updates to senior executives and other stakeholders.
4. Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Lead project teams, providing direction, support, and motivation to achieve project objectives.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input, align goals, and drive project success.
5. Administrative Duties:
- Manage all project-related administrative tasks, including scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of project activities, decisions, and outcomes.
- Handle any necessary project-related paperwork, procurement, and vendor management.
6. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the project scope and suggest innovative solutions.
- Implement best practices in project management and value stream methodology.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on large-scale implementations.
- Proven experience with Value Stream Frameworks or similar methodologies.
- Strong governance skills, with experience in creating and maintaining project documentation and records.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging with executive leadership.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider collaborative group.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello) and MS Office Suite.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is preferred.
