CAD Design Engineer

Our client in Telford is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join their team. The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using various software tools to support engineering and construction projects. A background in sheet metal fabrication would be beneficial.

Duties

• Develop detailed CAD drawings for structures, systems, and components based on project requirements
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand design concepts and provide technical support
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and regulations
• Review and modify designs to enhance functionality and efficiency
• Maintain project documentation and files for future reference

Skills

• Proficient in SolidWorks or AutoCAD (transferrable skills)
• Knowledge of Radan (Advantageous)
• Knowledge of Press Brake & Punch Press (Ideal, not a necessity)
• Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
