The Firm

Wiseman Consulting is working closely with an HNW firm in Cotswolds, on the outskirts of Cheltenham, to secure a Private Client Partner to lead their Private Client department across four offices in Gloucestershire. This role can progress to Head of Private Client for the entirety of the firm.

Our client has a rich 300-year history and has remained a family-owned law firm with generations of loyal clients and a history in the villages it operates in. The firm lives and breathes private clients and works with various individuals, handling everything from simple Wills to multi-million-pound estate administration and contentious probate.

The firm has exceptional experience with several Directors and Partners leading their respective teams and a focus on client care and communication over billing. They are regarded as a premier regional firm in Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and The Cotswolds.

The Role

Wiseman Consulting Limited is searching for a Private Client Senior Associate looking to step up to Partnership or Partners/Directors looking to make a lateral move. We expect around 5+ PQE as a minimum to be considered.

The work is split between wills, estates, and probates, with about 60% coming from wills and 40% between estates and probates.

Work ranges from simple wills to £1M+ estates, and the firm is looking to expand its contentious probate practice with a new hire. Candidates experienced in this field are strongly recommended to apply.

Membership from an affiliated group such as STEP is helpful but not essential.

The purpose of the role is to unite the Private Client department across four offices whilst also expanding the commercial aims of the firm with leads, new business and optimisation between teams.

This role's initial period comes with a full caseload, and as a result, little to no business development is required for the first 9-12 months.
