Director, Corporate Trade Sales

About this opportunity

We currently have a great opportunity for a highly motivated Trade Sales Director to join our Corporate Trade sales team based in either London or Birmingham. You'll originate new business, generating both growth within the portfolio alongside identifying new opportunities.

Our team is a specialist product team providing our corporate clients with working capital solutions across traditional trade, open account (including receivables, payables, invoice finance and asset backed lending), structured trade and commodity finance, ECA and asset finance.

The team supports our clients across three segments: Corporate Sector Coverage; Services, Public Sector and Regions and Real Estate and Housing.

You'll have a directly allocated client portfolio alongside direct sales goals to meet our ambition of significantly growing the size of our business. This role forms a key connectivity between Coverage, Credit, Trade Product and Trade Services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Define the sales strategy and business plans for allocated portfolio and secure strategic internal support from partners to identify and satisfy customer needs in the most appropriate way.
• At all times, meeting Group risk and profitability requirements to deliver targeted growth in the Trade and Working Capital business in terms of Income and Assets.
• Actively maintain product relationships within the portfolio of existing and agreed target clients.
• Identify customer needs to develop, structure and review proposals to meet customer requirements. Recognise opportunities to develop further income and economic profit, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions to clients.
• Maintaining a full understanding of our product sets including but not limited to traditional trade, open account (including receivables, payables, invoice finance and asset backed lending), structured trade and commodity finance and asset finance.
• Prepare and submit credit applications in conjunction with Coverage and STEM, aligned with defined strategy and engage with colleagues in Product, Delivery, Lending Execution and Risk as appropriate.
• Act as client point of contact for all transactions for Trade and Working Capital Sales, with the ability to confidently discuss technical and operational aspects of transactions.
• Identify product gaps or new product opportunities to influence the development of key new product service initiatives and more efficient delivery channels.
• Ensure customer treatment and other regulatory requirements are met and follow Group and Regulatory policy in order to protect and enhance the bank's reputation.
• Support the development of team members across Trade Sales as we look to collaborate in order to deliver together.
• Work with colleagues and product partners to align strategies and optimize opportunities for Lloyds Bank, while following Group strategy and policy to protect the bank.

What we need from you:

• Validated technical understanding of Trade and Working Capital products with success in Trade Sales.
• Experience leading, originating and providing solutions to Large Corporate clients (defined as >£1bn annual turnover).
