The role

GlobalData Plc provides business information in the form of high-quality data, analytics, and insights to clients across a breadth of industry markets. Headquartered in London with over 20 office locations and 3,500 employees across Europe, North America, APAC and Latin America, we have a truly global footprint. Our central finance support function is based in Hull and we currently have a vacancy within the Management Accounts team. Key responsibilities:

- Produce monthly management accounts and reforecast including commentary against prior forecast / budget to aid decision making

- Communicate financial results and insights to non-financial stakeholders

- Prepare detailed cost analysis to aid forecasting discussions with Sales and Operations Management

- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis

- Contribute to the annual budgeting process

- Support year-end activities including liaising with external auditors

- Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives including the development and implementation of internal control procedures

- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support project work

- Post foreign TBs provided by external overseas accounting firms ensuring local ledgers align to those held in SUN

Role requirements:

- ACA or equivalent qualification

- Shows dedication and accountability

- Can set and meet deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and effectively managing expectations

- Strong analytical skills

- Demonstrate the ability to communicate well and build strong and collaborative relationships

- Confident, adaptable personality with a positive attitude towards change and new challenges

- Strong excel skills and confidence with data manipulation, has previously worked with large, complex data sets
