Goods In / Dispatch Operator

Location: Leicester
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm, early finish on Friday
Pay Rate: Up to 13.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Are you an experienced Goods In / Dispatch Operator with a keen eye for quality?
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our team, handling precision components and carrying out visual quality checks. This role requires strong attention to detail and a good work ethic in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming goods for accuracy, damage, and quality, ensuring they meet specified requirements
• Perform visual quality checks on precision components, including basic tests (e.g., paint thickness, dimensional checks)
• Move goods within the factory using pallet trucks and forklift trucks (Counterbalance FLT licence desirable)
• Pack goods for dispatch and assist with stock management
• Accurately record all stock movements and maintain a clean, organised workspace
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or quality issues
• Support stock take and replenishment activities

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in a similar Goods In/Dispatch or Quality Inspection role, especially with precision components
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Competence in using basic measuring equipment
• Good communication skills and a team-player mentality
• Own transport is required due to the location
