Finance & Strategy Director

The Finance and Strategy team's core mission is to help Deliveroo make more engaging decisions. We aim to build long-term company value by setting company strategy, facilitating world-class execution, understanding and sharing the drivers of our business, delivering accurate financial results, all while managing risks and keeping an eye out for opportunities. What you'll do:

You'll lead Deliveroo's Finance & Strategy team for Grocery and Retail, managing important projects across this area while collaborating with Grocery and Retail leadership and other sides of our marketplace.

This role is based in our London HQ Offices and reports to the VP of Finance and Strategy.

Main activities:

• Partner with senior leadership to support setting the strategic direction for Grocery and Retail business verticals.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, reporting, and support projects and resource allocation.
• Lead your team to discover, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Recruit top finance talent and train team members into a world-class finance and strategy organization.
• Develop and implement world-class finance business partnering processes and P&L accountability across the organization.

What we are looking for:

• 10+ years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in finance, finance business partnering, FP&A, and business strategy functions.
• A continuous drive to balance people, process, and technology to enhance efficiency and innovation.
• Flexibility and pragmatism with a strong bias for action.
• Ability to lead decision-making in high-pace environments with strong stakeholder engagement and management.
• Core financial and technical finance skills to guide the business in increasing investments and making sound financial decisions to accelerate profitability.
• An understanding of working in a global, matrix organization.
• A successful track record of operating, partnering with, and influencing executive-level partners.
• Proficiency in solving unstructured problems.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, A.C.A., or equivalent.
