Seeking a project planner to join our dynamic team for a prestigious 45 million infrastructure project. This exciting opportunity is with a leading Tier 1 contractor, specializing in highways, roads, pathways, sewers, and bridges. The role offers the flexibility of hybrid working and is pay outside IR35 for a 15 month long project, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced professionals looking for a challenging yet rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules for the construction of roads, pathways, sewers, and bridges.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.
- Monitor project progress, identifying any risks or issues and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, outlining project status, forecasts, and any deviations from the plan.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and adjust schedules as necessary to maintain alignment with project objectives.
- Utilize planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject) to create and update schedules.
- Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that resources and materials are delivered on time.
- Contribute to the development of project methodologies, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Planner working on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects, preferably within the highways sector.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a hybrid working environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on meeting project deadlines and budgets.
