About the Role
We re working with a lively, upscale café in the heart of Liverpool to find a Floor Manager who s as passionate about coffee as they are about leading a team! Our client is looking for someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm, and an eye for detail to the floor overseeing a busy café environment and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile and a great experience.

Who We re Looking For
Are you a coffee lover who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment? As Floor Manager, you ll take charge of the day-to-day floor operations, lead a team of dedicated front-of-house staff, and keep service running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone with great leadership abilities, a strong customer focus, and a love for coffee culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Floor Operations: Oversee daily floor activities to maintain high standards of service and efficiency.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage directly with customers to ensure satisfaction, resolve any issues, and elevate the guest experience.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and support front-of-house staff, coordinating schedules and guiding staff through shifts.
  • Training & Development: Train new hires, support ongoing staff development, and ensure everyone delivers consistent service.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all food and drink items meet the café s high quality and presentation standards.
  • Inventory Oversight: Monitor inventory levels, coordinate reordering, and communicate with the kitchen to ensure seamless service.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards across all floor operations.
  • Financial Management: Assist in end-of-day financials, handle till operations, and ensure accurate reporting.
Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
  • Customer Focused: A genuine passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, with strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Organized & Efficient: Able to multitask and keep the team focused during busy hours.
  • Excellent Communicator: Strong verbal communication skills with a personable approach.
  • Flexible Schedule: Willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Coffee Enthusiast: A true coffee lover who appreciates quality and can share that passion with others.
