Level 3 Building Inspectors/Building Control Surveyors

Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced Class 3 Building Inspectors to work with a number of Local Authorities across London and the surrounding areas. These positions offer both 100% remote and hybrid working options, providing flexibility to suit different working preferences.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in building control and have recently worked as a Senior Building Control Surveyor. A degree in construction or an equivalent qualification is required, preferably with a Band C Building Control Surveyor Registration (BSR) qualification. Candidates should hold full corporate membership with a recognised professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and ensure compliance with building regulations.
• Lead on complex projects related to building control and construction.
• Assess and report on the safety, compliance, and quality of building work.
• Work independently and collaborate with teams to meet project deadlines.
• Provide expert advice to stakeholders and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class 3 Building Control Inspector certification.
• Full corporate membership with RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in Building Control.
• Degree in construction or an equivalent qualification, with a Band C BSR qualification preferred.
• Recent experience as a Senior Building Control Surveyor.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Local authority experience is highly desirable.
