Join my Client's team as a Mechanical CAD Engineer to design and develop advanced maritime control and instrumentation systems. You'll work across the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to validation, ensuring robust design and implementation of electrical systems for our Platform Management Systems (PMS) in defence programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed mechanical drawings and General Assemblies (GA) using Creo.
- Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Support the Mechanical Design Engineering team with technical expertise.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and adhere to industry standards, materials, and finishes.
- Maintain documents and drawings through development phases and production updates.
Required Experience:
- Proficiency in CAD (Creo).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, BS 8888, and manufacturing techniques.
- Proven experience in Mechanical CAD design, ideally within regulated industries (e.g., automotive, aviation, defence).
- Self-motivated, capable of independent work as well as team collaboration.
