Finance Manager

Due to the continued expansion in both the Group and within individual companies, we are now seeking a Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting businesses with existing and new opportunities, managing financial activities and ensuring compliance with regulations. This person will join a small and friendly finance team, reporting to the Finance Director and supporting 2 Accounts Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Act as a critical friend to each of the businesses providing commercial performance analysis against key product areas and assisting with inflight adjustments to business plans throughout the financial year.
• Collaborate with business managers to monitor costs, manage budgets, and ensure profitability.
• Conduct cost control analysis and provide recommendations for improvement. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Oversee the financial management of the company, including accurate and timely financial and management reporting.
• Manage and provide leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other institutions. Maintain robust internal financial controls.
• Deputise for the Finance Director when required

Key Requirements:

• Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide insights.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
