About the Role of Estimator

As an Estimator, you will be instrumental in the delivery of high-value ports and water project as well as infrastructure and tunnelling projects. Working closely with a skilled project team, you will provide accurate and detailed cost estimations, support procurement strategies, and help shape the commercial success of the projects. You'll be part of a team driving complex, large-scale projects with a high level of technical detail.



Responsibilities for Estimator

Provide detailed cost estimates for ports, water infrastructure, and tunnelling projects
Analyse project documents, specifications, and drawings to assess project scope and cost implications
Collaborate with design teams, engineers, and project managers to ensure accuracy and feasibility in estimates
Prepare tender documents, cost breakdowns, and risk assessments
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and value for money
Support in the negotiation of contracts and pricing agreements
Monitor and review project costs, providing updates and reports throughout the project lifecycle



Requirements for Estimator

Proven experience as an Estimator in ports, water projects, infrastructure, or tunnelling
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, techniques, and cost structures in these sectors
Excellent knowledge of industry-standard estimating software
Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams
Experience with projects falling outside IR35 is highly desirable
