MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager, to assist the site manager with operating a landfill site, based in Rainham, Essex. This position would suit someone with experience working with Yellow Plant and equipment.

As the Assistant Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the site meets requirements of PPC/Waste Management licensing, Health & Safety at Work Act and other statutory controls, company policies and procedures
• Liaise with surveyors to ensure correct setting out of pre-settlement contours
• Assist the weighbridge with any queries as they arise and resolve problems by communicating with internal departments
• Follow up and investigate complaints, inform the relevant customer/local authority are informed of the outcome
• Investigate all incidents and accidents
• Ensure weighbridge operations are operated in line with company procedures
• Assist with financial recording, spend against budget, receipt of capital and purchase orders
• Regularly check with site operations to confirm if service delivered and goods received
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Experience working with Yellow Plant and equipment
• An understanding of other associated plant and vehicles, used on site, would be an advantage
• A good understanding of financial requirements, including budgets and P&L s
• Proven ability to manage/supervise a team
• Full UK driving licence is essential
