Lead Control Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Drive Control Systems technology, including control algorithms and application software.
- Manage core Drive Control PCB hardware and FPGA configurations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to specify, design, code, and validate control systems for MW-scale power electronic drive systems.
- Maintain effective engineering interfaces with sales teams, field engineers, and firmware development teams.
Essential Requirements:
- MUST be a UK National
- Strong knowledge and experience in Variable Speed Drive Control Schemes.
- Proficiency in Control Systems Design (both linear and non-linear).
- Experience with C code programming and embedded software design.
- Familiarity with control system simulation tools such as MATLAB Simulink.
- Understanding of power electronics components (e.g., IGBTs, MOSFETs).
- Knowledge of electrical machines and suitable control strategies for power electronics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Experience leading technical teams in software, hardware, or control engineering.
- Background in industries such as Marine, Energy, or Renewables.
- Experience with integrated control schemes involving PLCs and HMIs.
