Job Purpose, Tasks, and Responsibilities

As an Accountancy Audit Manuals Author, you will:

  • Write high-quality content for audit and compliance manuals, ensuring technical accuracy, practicality, and up-to-date information for our clients.
  • Advise clients on technical Audit & Accounts (A&A) matters and contribute to technical content for broader purposes.
  • Collaborate with our Product team to offer input on technical, client, and competitor intelligence, helping shape our products.
  • Represent Mercia in client meetings with Account Managers, providing clear and compelling technical materials to support marketing and sales efforts.

What We re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must have / be:

  • Excellent technical knowledge of audit and accounts, with the ability to translate changes into clear, practical guidance.
  • Commercial awareness of the UK accounting profession.
  • ACA qualification (or equivalent) with post-qualified experience.
  • Proven experience in producing technical guides or manuals in the accountancy profession.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with above-average competency in the English language.
  • High-level organisational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
