Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Maintain and promote a safe work environment, coordinating with the safety team to resolve issues.
- Tender Preparation and Review:
- Collaborate with estimators to analyze client requirements and apply value engineering.
- Project Valuation and Payment:
- Value completed work to ensure timely payments and maintain accurate financial oversight.
- Construction Advice:
- Address construction issues, assist with drawing evaluations, and provide up-to-date project information.
- Commercial Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
- Cost Analysis and Procurement
- : Conduct cost analysis with the buying team, advise on procurement, and support effective cost control.
- Subcontractor Allocation
- : Allocate work to subcontractors, ensuring effective procurement practices.
- Training and Development:
- Support the growth of trainee Quantity Surveyors.
Requirements:
Experience: At least 3 years in Quantity Surveying, ideally in residential groundworks and subcontractor environments.
Skills: Proficiency in Excel, knowledge of construction contracts, strong negotiation and management skills, and the ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
- Other: High level of confidentiality, positive client relationship management, and attention to detail.
