Your new company
Your new company is an industry-leading manufacturer based in Manchester, who are looking for a CAD Designer / Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. With a turnover exceeding £10m per annum, with over 40 members of staff, they are continuing to grow their team. They have a CAD Team of 5 Engineers, and are looking for an additional person to help with their increasing order book.
Your new role
As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings to meet project requirements, using CAD software. As a small team, there is a very collaborative atmosphere, which means you will be working closely with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications. You will be involved in both modifying and improving existing drawings, as well as creating brand-new drawings too. You will be maintaining and organising a database of drawings and related documents too. As part of the team collaboration, you will participate in regular reviews of drawings, as well as participate in project meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have a qualification in Engineering, whether it be HNC, HND or a Degree. Experience in CAD software is desirable in the role, as is manufacturing experience.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive an excellent salary between £25,000 - £28,000 with additional benefits, including pension, holidays and early finishes on Fridays.
