Principal People are pleased to be working with a leading manufacturing business to recruit a new Health and Safety Advisor for the business.

Based at their site near Dartford, this person will work alongside the established Health and Safety team and operational teams within the business to maintain a safe working environment and promote a positive HSE culture. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, the Health and Safety Advisor will help in developing and implementing an effective HSE management system and drive continuous improvement.
The Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for: - Applying and developing HSE management systems, legislation and best practice.
- Supporting the Head of Health and Safety in maintaining IMS documentation and systems.
- Implementing Health and Safety strategy in accordance with company and site standards.
- Carrying out internal audits to ensure work is carried out in line with policies and procedures.
- Acting as a point of contact for accreditations including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 5001.
- Supporting all departments to understand and improve their HSE responsibilities, identify training needs, and ensure correct PPE use.

To be considered for this role you must have: - NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification as a minimum.
- An auditing qualification is ideal but not essential.
- Experience working within the manufacturing sector is beneficial.
- Strong experience working in an operational Health and Safety role.
