Duties:
- As a Support Engineer working within Systems Engineering you will write concise documents that express ideas and define technical requirements
- Produce precise technical drawings for electrical control systems using CAD software
- Specify and select components for low voltage control systems
- Work as part of a small team of Project Engineers
- Liaise with a customer's representatives to agree requirements
- Some site work will be required
Skills and Experience:
- BTEC Level 3 in Electrical & Electronic Engineering as a minimum
- Must be familiar with low voltage control equipment and control circuit design
- Must have some basic programming ability, preferably with real time applications
- A good understanding of programmable logic controllers and their I/O structures would be preferred
- A familiarity with graphical interfaces (HMIs), their data collection methods and configuration tools is preferable
- Some knowledge of serial communications and networking used in an industrial environment would be advantageous
- Knowledge of electrical power distribution and switching at low and medium voltage would be ideal
- Knowledge of electrical machine basics (generators, transformers, motors), prime movers and generators used in industry would be useful along with electrical protection devices & energy monitoring devices
