Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner PWP

We are currently recruiting for exciting opportunities tojoin Turning Point and be part of our highly successful andinnovative NHS Talking Therapies service. At Wakefield TalkingTherapies we specialise in evidence-based psychological therapiesand we are looking for qualified Psychological WellbeingPractitioners to join the team.

We provideexcellent opportunities for development in this role through accessto training around areas of specialism such as supervision,long-term conditions, cultural diversity etc. You will work withyour supervisor and line manager to make sure development and CPDplans are in place for your ongoing growth. There are also manyopportunities for career progression into areas of leadership orfurther clinical training.

We welcome candidatesthat specialise in working with adults with a wide range oflong-term health conditions and be involved in the development ofnew pathways for clients with LTCs.

Turning Point Talking Therapiesprovides evidence-based interventions within a stepped care model,for the treatment of people with mild to moderate common mentalhealth problems.

Whether you are an experiencedPWP or you are newly qualified, you'll join our team in Wakefielddelivering step 2 low intensity interventions and as a key memberof the team, you will be working closely with our clinical team tomaintain our high standard and help us to develop thisfurther.

As a PWP you'll be managing your owncaseload providing evidence based treatments via one to one andgroup settings. We offer a high standard of in house clinicalsupervision and training with qualified supervisors. We offerregular masterclasses to upskill our therapists and support theircareer development as well as opportunities to access additionalmodality training.

Alongside managing your owncaseload, PWP's also deliver a small number of psycho-educationalworkshops.

Youneed NHS Talking Therapies qualification as a PsychologicalWellbeing Practitioner (unless demonstrably exempt through UCLassessment of competence scheme) and Registration as aPsychological Wellbeing Practitioner with either BABCP orBPS.

As well as being a qualified PWP, you willneed outstanding written and telephone communication skills as wellas the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

We have an active wellbeing working group made up stafffrom within various different roles in the service who worktogether to organise events, keep people connected and provideinformation and support helping to make this a really great placeto work.

We also offer the opportunity to manageyour wellbeing by working flexibly and, as the service is open 7days a week there are lots of opportunities to ensure this can workfor you as well as our clients. We pay incentivised rates of payfor weekend working and additional hours.
