They are looking for a skilled, self-motivated Mechanical Stress Engineer to lead current and future engineering programs.
Key Qualifications:
- BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant mechanical analysis experience
- Proficiency in FEA mechanical analysis (ANSYS)
- Strong understanding of transient thermal loads and load interactions
- Experience in rig testing and damage tolerance assessments (preferred)
- Team-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical assessments of aircraft and engine components to ensure compliance with life and integrity standards.
- Create mechanical models using MathCAD and 2D/3D FEA for component analysis.
- Collaborate with design teams to optimize component performance.
- Assess component life and integrity throughout design, testing, validation, certification, and in-service phases.
- Conduct LCF/HCF lifting, crack propagation, and damage tolerance assessments.
- Support and analyse rig testing for design verification and certification.
- Prepare technical documentation and certification reports.
