In-House Risk Lawyer

Our client, an International Law Firm is seeking an In-House Risk Lawyer to join their dynamic office in London. The role will be varied, contributing to the management and smooth operation of the firm alongside the support of wider compliance team officers.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of risk-focused PQE and extensive knowledge of legal/regulatory compliance gained from a leading, international law firm. Experience within a professional negligence role as a fee earner, or managing legal issues on a global scale is desirable but non-essential to this role.

Some Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice to senior management on a variety of legal matters
• Ensure the firm’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations in operational and business activities
• Answer team-wide queries relating to conflicts, ethics, financial crime, professional standards, etc
• Mitigate legal risks and implore strategies to aid in future prevention
• Provide support for potential claims against the firm or its lawyers
• Procure relevant insurance for the firm in various areas - liaisoning with brokers/insurers
• Maintain up-to-date documentation regarding a partner’s legal relationship with the firm (changes, departures, etc)

This role is perfect for someone with a strategic approach to problem-solving, along with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also desirable for this role.
