Contract: Senior Commissioning Manager

A position has arisen for an interim Senior Commissioning Manager targeted at Lung Health Checks. The role is placed within a highly reputable healthcare organisation located in the Derbyshire region, and takes responsibility for a range of commissioning categories.
Your duties will include:
- Work with JUCD and regional colleagues to develop an options appraisal to lead on local implementation of the Targeted Lung Health Checks programme (TLHC)
- Support the business in driving transformation, as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service
- Build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery
- Provide direction and line management to the commissioning team on a day-to-day basis, as well supporting the Head of Service in the implementation of strategy
- Co-ordinating the delivery of QIPP through relevant work streams and commissioning managers
- Supporting and chairing relevant meetings and workstreams
- Work collaboratively with relevant partner organisations including ICB, Local Authorities, primary care etc, and JUCD programme Boards
- Provide reports and updates, as well developing/assisting in the delivery of financial and activity dashboards to support the TLHC programme
- Leading the review of services where necessary, alongside engendering matrix working across the team and with other teams within the ICB.
The successful candidates should have:
- Experience within the public sector and commissioning
- Educated to a masters level or have the equivalent experience of working at a senior level within cancer related services
- Extensive knowledge of the national and local cancer agenda
