Our client is a specialist flooring manufacturer, well-established, profitable and with a growing business. This small, professional yet friendly company is seeking an Operations Manager from a wide range of possible backgrounds - light manufacturing, food, textiles etc.


Due to the growth of the company and as a consequence increased demands on the Directors, there is a need for a leadership presence at the headquarters in Eastnor. The role requires someone capable of improving operations who is an analytical and strategic thinker. A key feature of this central role is to manage the production and financial functions within the company which will include building and maintaining relations with suppliers as well as providing input into budgets and financial reporting.


Responsibilities

  • Direct management of the production and financial departments.
  • To forecast, plan for and monitor the cost effective ordering and delivery of materials and services to meet production schedules, sales orders and marketing launches
  • Contribute to production planning and budgeting
  • Lead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a safe production environment
  • Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent vocational training / experience on the job
  • 5+ years of production / operations management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and managerial skills
