2nd Chef.

  • £14.82 per hour
  • 40 hours per week, working across 4 days on a 2 week rolling rota and alternate weekends off
  • Shifts: 7am 5pm

Here at Telford Hall, we provide an exceptional standard of specialist nursing, palliative and dementia care to our residents, with a particular focus on nurturing each individual to achieve personal goals and to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.

As a 2nd Chef at our home, your role may involve:

  • Supporting the Head Chef and the rest of the catering team with providing fresh, home-cooked meals from scratch to our residents
  • Delivering the highest possible culinary standards to residents by providing nutritious, well-balanced and appetising meals from a clean, safe and hygienic environment
  • Supporting with controlling the catering budget
  • Maintaining a hygienic and compliant working environment
  • Supporting with all day to day aspects of the catering operation
  • Compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Submitting food orders
  • Undertaking any necessary training
  • This role sits below the Head Chef

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment
  • A passion for producing fresh, home cooked food, from scratch to the highest standards.
  • Friendly and enthusiastic disposition, ability to integrate well with others.
  • Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Preferably NVQ level 2 in food hygiene
