Job Summary


As a Scrum Master/Agile Coach at Akixi, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of agility, collaboration, and continuous improvement within our development teams. Working closely with experienced developers, product owners, and stakeholders, you will be instrumental in driving the successful delivery of high-quality products and features. Working closely with the product owner, you will guide the teams through sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-up meetings, and all the other essential scrum ceremonies. You will help identify and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives throughout the delivery lifecycle working with stakeholders to execute on the initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Liaise with stakeholders and facilitate product features to be developed for future releases
  • Guide and lead Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-up meetings, and other essential scrum ceremonies.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability within the development team.
  • Provide individual coaching to team members, empowering them to embrace Agile principles and practices.
  • Conduct team-wide coaching sessions to enhance collective understanding and application of Agile methodologies.
  • Act as a mentor, helping team members develop their skills and grow in their roles.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define and prioritize program features for future releases.
  • Drive program management activities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery of product increments.
  • Effectively manage dependencies and risks across multiple teams, ensuring smooth and efficient program execution.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance team efficiency.
  • Capture and document enhancements, facilitating their integration into the development workflow.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development teams
  •  Experience of working with senior stakeholders and teams.
  •  Must have experience of leading agile transformation programs within SaaS/Product oriented companies
  • Facilitation of Scrum ceremonies i.e., backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives and the daily stand-up (including demos/showcases)
  •  Ability to coach one to one and teams.
  • Take full responsibility of our Agile software development activities.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and mentor skills.
  • Design, Implement and document processes.


Qualifications and Experience – Essential


  • At least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a SaaS or product-based company
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I).
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and practices
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the team
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Experience working with distributed teams and remote team members
  • Ability to interact with Senior Management including communication of release deliverables, development and delivery KPIs, and other program status


Qualifications and Experience – Desirable


  • Degree (2.1 or above) in computer science or electronic engineering.
  • Experience of the Atlassian Suite e.g. Jira, Confluence.
