The team:


To provide truly outstanding client service we work as one team. Our Business Operations Group is made up of business professionals who work with our legal professionals to provide market-leading expertise to our clients. The Groups include; Finance, Operations, People, Marketing, IT, Risk and Executive Leadership team


The role:

  • To lead the Workplace functions (front of house, building service and print/post and reprographics teams) ensuring that the services provided are of a high quality in terms of effectiveness, efficiency and best value and in the provision of an appropriate and professional service to within agreed service levels across the specified locations.
  • Ensure an appropriate and professional service; providing a safe, comfortable and operational working environment for our people, visitors and clients,
  • A demanding role for a leader and someone who takes accountability and encourages this in others.
  • An advocate for development across the wider team, leading by example and supporting regional managers in translating strategic plans into successful operational outcomes. Coaching and directing as needed and communicating clearly and often, acting as an agent for change, making; the workplace a great place to be, putting our people at the centre to deliver the best processes in the right place at the right time.
  • Supporting our Responsible Business team to maintain legal reporting, being a visible advocate for this, both across the Group and with our suppliers and collaborating on legal reporting for our BCorp accreditation.

Essential Skills and experience you will have:


  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing the deployment and operational delivery in a similar environment within professional services is essential
  • A good level of Workplace management experience relating to a commercial building operation.
  • Experience of managing front of house operations within a professional services environment
  • Demonstrable experience of statutory rules and compliance requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office 365 / Teams
  • Strong experience of managing external partners and ensuring positive outcomes for all parties.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work in a high-pressure team environment, handle multiple tasks and react quickly to matters
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments, achieve goals, and manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of applying tools and techniques to identify and implement process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of document / case management systems, Cloud and workflow technologies
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of printer and production scanner fleet management


Desirable Skills and experience you will have:


  • Strong experience of delivering projects and change ideally in a professional services environment and ensuring on time, in budget and in line with agreed deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of ESG related topics
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO27001 and BS10008
  • Knowledge of document / case management systems, Cloud and workflow technologies
  • Understanding of software such as iManage, Uniflow, Paper River and Fiery would also be beneficial

Excellent organisational skills enabling the prioritisation and management of multiple tasks


  • Strong business analysis, process mapping and facilitation skills
  • To be comfortable working without routine supervision and show a high degree of initiative to succeed in a demanding environment
