Head of Engineering

We’re working with a cutting-edge Series-A tech startup who are looking for a global Head of Engineering to help take them on the next stage of their journey.

They are looking for an experienced engineering leader with a deep technical background, and who is still close to the day-to-day delivery. They have recently finished a second round of funding which has been highly successful, and they are looking for an experienced technologist to help set up a technology roadmap for the next 12-18 months.

The ideal profile will be a senior individual who has previous experience scaling a SaaS startup or SME but is still fundamentally an engineer at heart. You will be managing a globally distributed team across Singapore and the UK, setting a technology vision for the next phase of the firm's journey while also driving the end-to-end application development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience in modern engineering practices focused on large scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of data-focused backend systems and platform development.
• Previous experience managing high performing global engineering teams.
• Experience implementing and uplifting quality standards & processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management & communication skills.
• Proven experience in working in B2B or SaaS tech companies is strongly beneficial.
