Staffordshire Police are seeking a confident individual to take the role of ITIL Service Lead, to oversee the provision of excellent IT customer services across the force. As the ITIL Service Lead you will be responsible for all of the end user support in the “live” environment.


Including;

  • Vendor Management - Ensuring the force maximises value and the effective management of its contracts and supply chain
  • Incident (major/minor) and Problem Management - Taking the lead to establish root cause Analysis (RCA) through to resolution of any developed Problems
  • Change Management -The primary objective of Change Management is to enable beneficial Changes to be made, with minimum disruption to IT services.
  • Configuration Management -To maintain information about Configuration Items required to deliver an IT service, including their relationships.
  • Release Management -The primary goal of Release Management is to ensure that the integrity of the live environment is protected and that the correct components are released
  • Asset Management -The primary goal of Asset Management is to ensure information about technology assets is accurate and appropriate
  • Service Transition- accepts products, determines whether they are fit for purpose and assesses readiness against agreed service acceptance criteria. Makes recommendations on go-live, early-life support and service acceptance ensure that the acceptance criteria are understood by the wider IT operations.


About You


You have significant experience of overseeing IT change and/or release management in a large organisation, as well as being competent in best practice change management methodologies.


You are experienced in the management of asset (software and hardware) and working knowledge of TCP/IP and firewalls, as well as technologies and infrastructure.


You hold ITIL v3 or v4, a recognised project management qualification, as well as a post graduate qualification or equivalent experience.


Excellent stakeholder management skills and excellent communication skills are imperative to make a difference within the organisation.
