Job Title: Head of Application Architecture

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Application Architecture to join our client’s Global Technology team. You will lead the application architecture domain, working closely with the Head of Enterprise Architecture and other key stakeholders to shape and deliver our technology strategy. This role is essential to driving innovation, supporting business needs, and ensuring we maintain a leading-edge technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and drive application and platform technology strategies that align with the company's goals.
- Technology Development: Create target architecture and roadmaps for application and platform development, ensuring solutions provide real business value.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across the organization to convert business requirements into technical initiatives.
- Technical Expertise: Provide leadership to architecture teams and keep abreast of the latest industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining resilience across critical services.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in application architecture, with a strong background in cloud platforms, DevOps, and internal developer platforms. You should be comfortable designing secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Knowledge of asset management systems such as Aladdin and eFront is highly desirable.
Qualifications & Experience
- Expertise in cloud platforms and on-premises infrastructure.
- Experience building internal developer platforms to support high-velocity application development.
- Strong familiarity with security principles and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on knowledge of modern engineering practices like CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and DevOps.
- Experience with asset management systems (e.g., Aladdin, eFront).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of data platform technologies and trends.
- Experience with modern DevOps tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Cloud certifications (Azure or AWS).
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics).
