This hands on role would suit candidates with demonstrable experience leading telephone-based sales teams to success and a background working in the construction, property, technical industries or similar.

The Job
- Lead, coach and develop team members to maximise performance.
- Ensure team members understand expectations and execute daily tasks efficiently.
- Agree targets and help determine how the team will measure success.
- Drive the achievement of business objectives and targets.
- Share best practice and encourage a consistent approach to sales calls.
- Identify learning needs, implement training and coach ongoing skills development.
- Foster collaborative working and problem solving across the sales and business development teams.
- Develop close working relationships with the Estimating and Operational teams.
- Facilitate weekly and monthly team meetings, communicating key messages from senior management.
- Conduct monthly 121 meetings, identifying strengths and development areas.
- Promote a positive approach and motivate team members by celebrating success.
- Obtain, analyse and utilise data from the CRM to manage performance of the team.
- Cover team members during holidays/absence, undertaking sales and administration duties.
- Act as the main point of contact for escalated customer queries and issues.
What You ll Need
- Experience leading a telephone-based sales team.
- Background working in construction, property or technical industries would be beneficial.
- Skilled in coaching, mentoring and motivating salespeople.
- Ability to inspire trust and respect.
- Solid understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Exceptional customer service and negotiating skills.
- Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office particularly Excel.
