Job Summary:

The Senior SAP Datasphere and BW/4HANA Consultant will be crucial in shaping and expanding our SAP analytics strategy and offerings. As a key member of our analytics practice, you will collaborate with solution architects and consulting teams across the business, acting as a subject matter expert to drive value for new and existing clients. You will contribute to the successful delivery of projects by leveraging the full range of SAP analytics tools and technologies, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Business Requirement Analysis: Capture and translate business requirements into technical solutions using SAP Datasphere and BW/4HANA technologies.

Solution Design and Delivery: Act in a Delivery/Solution Lead capacity, defining, designing, and delivering integrated solutions aligned with client needs. Design and optimise data models, data flows, and reporting solutions within SAP Datasphere and BW/4. Demonstrate ownership of task management, ensuring on-time delivery and managing escalations as needed.

Problem-Solving and Technical Expertise: Utilise deep technical knowledge to address business challenges with analytical methodologies and optimize SAP Datasphere performance, including query optimisation and data partitioning. Lead small to medium-sized analytics projects.

Client Relationship Management: Develop strong client relationships, confidently handling complex or sensitive situations. Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights that align with clients' strategic goals.

Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest SAP technologies and trends, especially SAP Datasphere, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry. Share expertise within the team to improve business processes and contribute to proposition development.

Business Development: Identify and develop opportunities for repeat and extended business with existing clients. Support pre-sales activities and contribute to the growth of our IP and service offerings.

Team Collaboration: Effectively work within multi-resource projects and internal teams, supporting growth and development that is aligned with the company's strategy.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Core Technical Skills:

• Strong experience in SAP Datasphere and SAP BW/BW on HANA/BW/4HANA, including:
• Architecture & Design: Proficiency in SAP Datasphere architecture and cloud-native structures.
• Data Modelling: Advanced skills in creating and managing complex data models within SAP Datasphere, including physical and virtual ones.
• Data Integration: Experience integrating SAP Datasphere with various SAP and non-SAP data sources, setting up data ingestion pipelines, and managing Data Flows and Remote Tables.
• Security & Governance: In-depth knowledge of SAP Datasphere’s security and data governance frameworks, including user roles, data access controls, and compliance with GDPR.
• Performance Optimization: Expertise in optimising SAP Datasphere performance, including query optimisation and data partitioning strategies.
• Analytics & Reporting: Proficiency in integrating SAP Datasphere with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for advanced analytics and reporting.
• Development & Automation: Experience with APIs, scripting (Python, SQL), and automation within SAP Datasphere environments.
• Experience with one or more of the following related technologies:
• SAP Analytics Cloud
• SAP S/4 Embedded Analytics and CDS view scripting
• Native SAP HANA

Consulting and Communication:

• Ability to communicate effectively, influence, and inspire as a trusted advisor in SAP Datasphere and BW/4HANA.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Analytical and Decision-Making:

• Passion for data modelling and visualisation, with the ability to make solid decisions in complex environments.
• Eager to learn and adapt to the evolving technology landscape, sharing knowledge in a structured manner.

Personal Profile – Experience

Experience:

• 8+ years in SAP BW/4HANA, 3+ years in SAP Datasphere (more than one project experience).
• Proven experience delivering small to large-scale SAP data projects.

Skills:

• Strong expertise in SAP Datasphere and BW/4HANA data modelling, integration and architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL and ABAP

Certifications:

• SAP Certified in BW/4HANA or Datasphere is desirable.
